Noble Hero Press is a d20 publishing company based out of a suburb of Chicago. First conceived in the spring of 2003, to bring to life a Superheroic roleplaying game that could be true to both the d20 system as well as the world of comic books that spawned the genre. Beyond Mere Mortals is our flagship product and was released in 2005.
Our goal is simple: to develop quality, entertaining games that are easy to learn and easy to play. We have made the conscious decision to make sure that our books keep to the core d20 rules, so that when you sit down, you already know how to play. We have made a few additions: a disadvantage system, the Hero Point concept, and of course nearly 100 versatile superpowers to cover every situation. The other important thing to us is that we keep as true to the comic book world as possible. To that end, each new rule and power has been designed with comic hero trends in mind. If you want to model your favorite Comic Book Hero, you will have no problem with our system. From street level heroes to near cosmic powerhouses, Beyond Mere Mortals can handle them all.
